I came across a request from XPRIZE on LinkedIn requestion UX expertise for the finalist teams for the Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE. This was the first XPRIZE to consider the end user and UX would be 50% of the overall final score. I answered the call and spent two days in San Diego advising the individual teams as well as conducting a UX "bootcamp". Below are prototypes from five of the finalist teams.

The device must:
Assess 16 conditions
Continuously monitor 5 vital signs, logging data to the cloud
Meet minimum scores for consumer experience and health condition assessment (72 hours)
Max mass of 5 pounds for the entire solution
Win $10 million dollars!
